Job summary

Russell Tobin is seeking a Senior Director of Quality Assurance in Penang, Malaysia to lead the QA function across materials, processes, and final products for aerospace-grade manufacturing.

You will drive continuous improvement, ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and other standards, mentor a diverse team, and coordinate with external auditors and customers to uphold quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, quality, or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in manufacturing quality management.
• Minimum 5 years in senior leadership or director-level role.
• Proven knowledge of quality systems and regulatory standards.
• Experience in aerospace or high-tech manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing quality assurance strategies to drive continuous improvement and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Managing the quality assurance team and ensuring that all processes, from raw materials to final product, adhere to internal guidelines and external regulatory requirements.
• Conducting audits and evaluations to assess compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality related issues and drive process enhancements.
• Staying up-to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in quality assurance and making recommendations for incorporating new technologies and methodologies into the quality assurance processes.
• Coordinating with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Upholding the company's reputation and ensuring that the organization consistently delivers high-quality and reliable products.
