Job summary

Jabil in Malaysia, Penang, seeks a QA Manager to reinforce best practices across quality tools on the manufacturing floor. You will drive training and proper tool usage, recruit QA staff, and shape the future role of the QA department.

The role requires significant QA expertise, SPC/PCB knowledge, and strong leadership to plan budgets, improve processes, and ensure compliance with safety and security policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 5 years of experience in quality-related field.
• 2 years of managerial experience is preferred.
• Combination of education, experience, or training acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate QA department activities and effects on efficiencies.
• Participate in planning long/short term functions to support Jabil.
• Manage QA departmental operational metrics to drive improvement.
• Plan and justify the QA department budget.
• Evaluate and schedule training activities for staff.
• Recruit, lead, coach, and manage QA staff.
• Evaluate effectiveness of the management system and improve.
• Address profit/loss issues to improve market position.
• Follow safety, health rules, and security procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
