Job summary

Galactic Network, a Kuala Lumpur-based cloud and QA partner, is seeking a Full Stack QA professional. You will liaise with business stakeholders and engineering teams to design, execute, and monitor tests across backend and frontend systems, APIs, and integrations.

Applicants should have a 3-5 year track record in software testing, strong API testing skills (Postman, REST Assured), and exposure to agile teams. The role is based in Malaysia and requires local work authorization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or Software Testing.
• Experience in backend testing (databases, business logic, microservices).
• Experience with frontend testing to ensure end-to-end coverage.
• Experience designing and executing API tests (using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar).
• Exposure to integration testing of backend services.
• Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Zephyr, TestRail, ALM).

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test scenarios and test cases across SIT, UAT, Regression, Integration, Smoke, and Sanity testing.
• Perform testing of backend and frontend systems, ensuring comprehensive coverage of business functionality and technical requirements as a Full Stack QA.
• Develop test cases and test scenarios based on the business requirements and conduct peer reviews on test coverage and test cases produced by the test team.
• Design and execute API tests to validate integration points, data flows, and error handling across systems.
• Contribute to the testing plan including the agreed code drop schedule, execute test cases as per the agreed plan.
• Manage and track defects, support defect triage, and collaborate with development teams on resolution.
• Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting of defects, and track, control and resolve testing issues and queries.
• Provide test status updates and contribute to release readiness and quality sign-off.
• Highlight any risks or slippages to the test lead or manager and participate in defect triage meetings providing defect updates.

Liaises with business stakeholders, end users, business analysts, project managers, and development teams to identify and document the required tests and test scenarios, ensuring that these cover all the business requirements. They perform, monitor, and report the test execution progress and the overall quality experience of the target test system.

Requirements
