Job summary

Systems Limited in Malaysia is seeking an experienced QA Engineer to ensure quality across telecom and digital solutions. You will design and execute manual and automated tests for BSS/OSS, CRM, billing, and order management systems.

You will build automated tests with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, and Postman, perform API, performance, and regression testing, and coordinate UAT with stakeholders. The role requires 5+ years in software QA, strong analytical and communication skills, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
• Hands-on experience in manual and automated testing with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress) and API testing (Postman).
• Experience with performance testing tools such as Apache JMeter.
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, software testing lifecycle, and defect management.
• Experience testing telecommunications BSS/OSS or enterprise digital applications is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with test management and tracking tools (Jira, TestRail) and Agile/Scrum delivery.
• Relevant certifications preferred: ISTQB Foundation/Advanced and/or automation certifications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, write, and execute detailed test cases to ensure functional and non-functional coverage.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, smoke, and system testing across telecom and digital apps.
• Conduct API testing for telecommunication systems and data integrity.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Postman.
• Perform performance testing (e.g., JMeter) to validate scalability under high load.
• Log, track, and manage defects through their lifecycle with root-cause analysis.
• Coordinate UAT with business stakeholders to validate requirements.
• Generate test reports, metrics, and dashboards for release readiness.

The QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and functional accuracy of the telecommunications and digital solutions delivered by Systems Limited in Malaysia. The role covers the design and execution of manual and automated tests across BSS/OSS, CRM, billing, order management, and digital-channel applications — ensuring defects are identified early and solutions meet business requirements and agreed quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, write, and execute detailed test cases and test scenarios to ensure comprehensive functional and non-functional coverage.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, smoke, and system testing across telecom and digital applications.
• Conduct API testing for telecommunication systems, validating integrations, request/response behavior, and data integrity.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Postman.
• Perform performance and load testing (e.g., Apache JMeter) to validate scalability and stability under high-traffic conditions.
• Log, track, and manage defects through their lifecycle, performing root-cause analysis and verifying fixes.
• Conduct and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders to validate business requirements.
• Generate test reports, quality metrics, and dashboards to track defects, coverage, and release readiness.
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to embed quality throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Support SIT, UAT, migration, and go-live activities, ensuring entry/exit criteria and release-quality standards are met.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and test automation coverage.

Required Qualifications & Experience:
