FILPAL (M) SDN BHD is seeking a QMS Executive in Malaysia to maintain and continually improve the Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001:2015. You will lead internal audits, management reviews, and coordinate certification activities with external bodies to ensure ongoing compliance and audit readiness.

The ideal candidate has hands-on QMS experience, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication to drive corrective actions and cross‑department improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in quality/engineering/business or related field.
• Lead Auditor certification including Internal Auditor Training and Transition Training (ISO 9001).

Responsibilities

• Ensure QMS complies with ISO 9001:2015 and maintain procedures.
• Maintain ISO 9001:2015 certification.
• Coordinate surveillance audits and recertifications with certification bodies.
• Raise awareness of QMS and enforce compliance across the organisation.
• Lead internal audits and management reviews and report findings to Top Management.
• Conduct in-house briefings and training on QMS procedures.

JOB OVERVIEW

The QMS Executive is responsible for maintaining and continually improving FILPAL's Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001:2015. This role leads internal audits and management reviews, coordinates certification and surveillance audit activities with external bodies, and drives corrective actions and process improvements across departments. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and communication skills with hands-on QMS experience to ensure ongoing compliance and audit readiness

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• - Ensure the QMS complies with the latest ISO 9001:2015 standard, and that procedures are established, implemented, and maintained in line with ISO 9001:2015 requirements and internal company procedures.
• - Ensure the company retains its ISO 9001:2015 certification.
• - Liaise with relevant certification bodies to coordinate activities necessary for maintaining the company's ISO 9001:2015 certification, such as surveillance audits and recertifications.
• - Raise awareness of the QMS across the organisation and lead efforts to enforce compliance with it.
• - Evaluate QMS performance against a set schedule and identify opportunities for improvement.- Maintain the integrity of the QMS whenever changes are planned and implemented.
• - Lead and conduct internal audits and management reviews, and report findings to Top Management.
• - Conduct in-house briefings and training for employees on the QMS and related procedures.
• - Ensure the integrity of quality documents, records, and evidence required to support the audit process.
• - Handle internal, customer, and certification body feedback and nonconformances related to the QMS, including reviewing and revising documentation as necessary.
• - Assist with the documentation required to support external provider assessment processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

• - Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• - Certification as a Lead Auditor, including Internal Auditor Training and Transition Training, in ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 1 year of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or quality management, preferably within a manufacturing or service industry.

SKILLSETS

• - Experience conducting internal audits, managing corrective and preventive actions, and facilitating Management Review meetings.
• - In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 standards, with experience implementing and maintaining a QMS.
• - Familiarity with other quality management system standards, such as ISO 17025 or any related standard, is advantageous.
• - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different departments and levels of the organization.
• - A practical, solution-oriented approach, with the ability to engage in constructive discussions to address challenges effectively.
• - Analytical mindset with the ability to identify root causes of quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Drive applications, and experience with quality management software.
• - Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• - Attention to detail and a commitment to upholding quality standards and regulatory requirements.

OPTIONAL SKILLSETS

• - Working knowledge of other management system standards (e.g. ISO 17025, ISO 45001).
• - Experience with quality tools such as 8D, RCA, FMEA, or Six Sigma.
