Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Malaysia seeks a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to monitor daily operations, ensure product quality, and support continuous improvement across engineering and production teams.

You will analyze data, investigate issues, and assist with new product introductions while maintaining strict traceability and documentation in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with data handling, scripting, or AI-enabled tools is a plus, along with a Diploma in Electronics engineering.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Basic exposure to data handling, scripting, or structured technical systems.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced, execution-driven engineering environment with strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity with manufacturing systems, data analysis, programming, or AI applications is a plus.
• Experience using Generative AI or AI-enabled tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily manufacturing operations to ensure smooth production flow and product quality.
• Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and implement containment actions.
• Review and disposition product holds per established quality procedures.
• Perform product inspections, verification activities, and data collection to support QA initiatives.
• Support troubleshooting, process validation, and continuous improvement with engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Analyze manufacturing and quality data to support problem-solving and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, traceability requirements, and operational procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records related to inspections, investigations, and process activities.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve production and quality challenges in a timely manner.
• Support new product introduction, engineering evaluations, and manufacturing readiness activities as required.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or related technical discipline
• Basic exposure or understanding of: Semiconductor manufacturing Data handling, scripting, or structured technical systems
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, execution-driven engineering environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple parallel requests.
• Familiarity with manufacturing systems, data analysis, programming, or Artificial Intelligenceapplications is a plus.
• Experience using Generative AI,AI Assistant, or other AI-Enabled tools is preferred.
