Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Malaysia (Penang) seeks an engineer/technician to maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment. You will capture supervisor data, build action plans, implement them, and monitor outcomes to ensure reliability and yield improvements.

The role emphasizes data extraction, analysis, and cross-functional communication with ES, Engineering, and Production. Diploma in Engineering or related field is required; AI familiarity is a plus and Generative AI tools

• Evaluate problems using validated detailed troubleshooting methods

• Select and utilize accurate test equipment and tools
• Align with standardized procedures and guidelines
• Stay ahead of on process and equipment procedures
• Keep work areas clean and organized
• Monitor equipment performance and address deviations

• Measure process metrics
• Identify equipment inaccuracy or inefficiency

• Identify and promptly report hazards
• Follow safety procedures and area work rules including proper PPE, lockout and chemical safety.
• Operate and maintain equipment and tools within manufacturers’ and company guidelines.
• Use proper lifting techniques and work in an ergonomically correct manner.

Education

Diploma in Engineering, Electronics, Manufacturing, or related field.

AI Familiarity with manufacturing systems, data analysis, programming, or Artificial Intelligenceapplications is a plus. Experience using Generative AI, AI Assistant, or other AI-Enabledtools is preferred.
