Job summary

Private Advertiser in Kulai, Johor is seeking a Quality Control Technician to support electrical switchgear testing and commissioning tasks.

You will follow procedures per IEC 61439-1/2, perform dielectric and insulation tests, collect data, report issues, and liaise with production and design teams to ensure all systems are ready for Finish Goods declaration.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical or higher
• 1+ year LV switchgear experience is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Comprehend the single line diagram, schematic diagram and switchboard assembly drawing before conduct the function test
• Conduct routine verification on switchboard according to procedure and standard (IEC 61439-1 and IEC 61439-2)
• Perform programming and commissioning for LV components such as Breaker, Power Monitoring Device, Protection Relay and Communication Device per manuals/work instructions
• Perform complete tests on the switchboard such as dielectric test, insulation test, primary/secondary injection test, and functional test
• Verify testing results meet the required specification and customer logic outputs
• Collect data and record testing results in designated forms
• Report any incompliances during testing to engineer and manager
• Liaise with production and design team for rectification work
• Ensure issues are rectified and all systems are functioning before Finish Goods declaration
• Ensure all issues are resolved and systems are ready for declaration

Education

Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical

LV switchgear experience (1+ year)

Job description

3. Perform programming and commissioning for various LV components such as Breaker, Power Monitoring Device, Protection Relay and Communication Device based on ‘user manual’ or work instruction provided.

4. Perform complete test on the switchboard such as dielectric test, insulation test, primary and secondary injection test, and functional test

5. Verify and ensure the testing results meet the required specification and logic output intended by customer
