Jora Malaysia is seeking a Project / Electrical Engineer to coordinate technical and engineering requirements for LV/MV switchgear production and manufacturing. The role supports design and development, working with Production and subcontractors to ensure drawings and specifications meet project needs.
The successful candidate will assist in QA/QC activities, prepare shop/as-built drawings, and perform on-site inspections, with a focus on meeting project deadlines and maintaining QMS adherence.

Act as the primary project coordinator for technical and engineering requirements related to switchgear production and manufacturing processes.
Assist the Engineering Manager and Project Manager in matters relating to the design and development of switchgear electrical engineering.
Coordinate with the Production Department and subcontractors to monitor manufacturing and production progress in accordance with approved engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
Assist the QA/QC Inspector in conducting quality inspections related to engineering requirements, including LV compartment wiring functional tests, and identifying any deviations from switchgear product specifications.
Prepare and update shop drawings and as-built drawings for switchgear fabrication and manufacturing.
Conduct on-site installation inspections and service/repair works, and prepare functionality reports for any deviations from the approved switchgear engineering drawings.
Coordinate and implement changes to switchgear production specifications with minimal disruption to the manufacturing process while ensuring project deadlines are met.
Verify all switchgear shop drawings and as-built drawings before submission to the Engineering Manager for approval.
Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, work instructions, and requirements under the Company's Quality Management System.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Project Manager or Engineering Manager.
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical panel / switchboard design, engineering, or a similar role will be an advantage.
Proficient in AutoCAD and/or EPLAN with the ability to streamline drafting processes for efficiency.
Knowledge of electrical schematics, control systems, switchboard components, and technical design principles.
Basic understanding of electronics and control systems is required.
Strong logical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills to identify issues and solve technical problems.
Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Eager to learn and continuously improve technical knowledge and engineering skills.
