Job summary

Jora Malaysia is recruiting a laboratory technician to support product testing and data analysis at our Kapar facility. You will handle samples, perform tests and maintain comprehensive records following SOPs and quality standards.

The role requires a degree or diploma in relevant scientific fields. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; willingness to travel to the Kapar site is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Food Technology, Food Science, Applied Science, Chemistry or Microbiology.
• Fresh graduates welcome.
• Willing to work in Kapar, Selangor and travel if needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and handle samples for testing using laboratory equipment.
• Conduct product testing and analysis per SOPs and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, test reports and documentation.
• Analyze test results and report findings to management.
• Ensure compliance with procedures, policies and health and safety regulations.
• Clean, maintain and sterilize laboratory equipment and work areas.
• Classify, label and store samples and testing materials.
• Collect and prepare research data for studies and product evaluations.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Prepare and handle samples for testing using various laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Conduct product testing and analysis in accordance with company requirements, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, test reports, and documentation.
• Analyze test results and report findings to management in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory procedures, company policies, and health and safety regulations.
• Clean, maintain, and sterilize laboratory equipment and work areas to ensure a safe working environment.
• Classify, label, and properly store samples and testing materials.
• Collect, compile, and prepare research data and information required for studies and product evaluations.
• Keep up to date with industry trends, laboratory techniques, and best practices.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Management from time to time.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least SPM, Diploma, or Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Applied Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or other related fields.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
