Job summary

Matrix Flavours & Fragrances Sdn Bhd is seeking a QC Intern to join our Quality Control team in Teluk Panglima Garang, Selangor. This full-time internship offers hands-on exposure to quality assurance processes in our manufacturing and logistics operations.

You will work with experienced professionals, perform routine inspections, document results, and support the QA team in maintaining compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree or diploma in Chemistry, Food Science, Engineering or related field.
• Attention to detail with ability to follow procedures accurately.
• Basic understanding of QC principles and testing methodologies.
• Strong record-keeping and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a manufacturing QC environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine quality inspections on materials, WIP, and finished products per procedures.
• Record inspection results, test data and findings clearly.
• Maintain and prepare QC equipment and testing apparatus.
• Support QA protocols and SOPs.
• Identify deviations and report non-conformities for action.
• Assist with sample preparation and laboratory tests as needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement with quality observations.
• Keep accurate records to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.

About the role

Matrix Flavours & Fragrances Sdn Bhd is seeking a QC Intern to join our Quality Control team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to gain practical experience in quality control within the manufacturing and logistics sector. Based in Teluk Panglima Garang, Selangor, this is a full‑time internship position that will provide you with hands‑on exposure to quality assurance processes, procedures, and best practices within our dynamic manufacturing environment. You will work alongside experienced quality professionals, contributing to our commitment to delivering products that meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.

What you'll be doing

• Conducting routine quality inspections and tests on raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products in accordance with established procedures and specifications
• Recording and documenting inspection results, test data, and quality findings in a clear and organised manner
• Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of quality control equipment and testing apparatus
• Supporting the QC team in implementing quality assurance protocols and standard operating procedures
• Identifying and reporting any deviations, defects, or non-conformities to supervisors for corrective action
• Assisting with sample preparation and laboratory testing activities as required
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on quality-related observations
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements

What we're looking for

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree or diploma programme in Chemistry, Food Science, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline
• Strong attention to detail with an ability to follow procedures accurately and consistently
• Basic understanding of quality control principles, testing methodologies, and quality assurance concepts
• Excellent organisational and record‑keeping skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills and the ability to report findings clearly
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies
• Reliability, punctuality, and a professional approach to work
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment or quality testing procedures is advantageous but not essential
