Job summary

Fraser & Neave (F&N) invites applications for a Quality Assurance internship based in Pulau Indah or Shah Alam. The program exposes the intern to core manufacturing principles in a food & beverages environment and QA lab support responsibilities.

You will assist in ISO 17025 technical tasks, monitor quality control charts, calibrations, and COA records while contributing to quality assurance projects and daily operations.

Qualifications

• Academic background in science related field; relevant field experience an advantage.
• Knowledge of microbiology, food safety and quality systems (GMP/HACCP/ISO).
• Proficient IT skills including MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Monitor quality control charts and take action if OOS is found.
• Evaluate and generate calibration reports for internal calibration.
• Assist in arranging and maintaining quarterly competency test records for QA lab analysts.
• Ensure COA records for chemicals are maintained, especially for new batches.
• Maintain monthly pH test trend graph for products.
• Assist in evaluating PT results and updating MU for 2022.
• Involve and follow up on assigned projects.
• Other tasks related to quality assurance.

Job description

Exposure throughout the internship program would encompass such as:

• Core manufacturing principles in food & beverages industry.
• Value Chain for food & beverages production from raw materials to finished goods.
• Quality management systems and standards or regulatory requirements.
• Engineering principles on systems & process optimization including familiarization of machineries & equipment.
• Safety, Health & Environmental protocols in food & beverages manufacturing industry.
• Logistics & distribution of finished goods.
• Basic Computer Skills
• Team player

• (b) Support on laboratory Management System Program (product testing, calibration, equipment PM and etc)
• (c) Support in ISO 17025: 2017 Laboratory Management System - Technical part as below:

• 1- To monitor quality control chart for related equipments and take necessary action if OOS was found.
• 2- To evaluate and generate calibration report for internal calibration.
• 3- Assist in arrange and maintain record of quarterly competency test for QA lab analysts.
• 4- To ensure good record of COA for chemicals is kept, particularly for new receiving batches.
• 5- To maintain products' pH test trend graph by monthly basis.
• 6- To assist in evaluate PT result and update MU for year 2022

• (d) Involve and follow up on asigned project
• (e) Other task related to quality assurance

Requirements:-

Academic Qualification: Degree in Science/ Microbiology/ Chemist/ Food Science or experience in related field.

Core skills: Knowledge about microbiology and food safety and quality system as GMP/ HACCP/ ISO 9001/ ISO 22000 etc.

IT Literacy: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Personality: Good interpersonal and effective communication skills.
