Job summary

Eastern Pretech (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd seeks a Diploma in Civil Engineering holder to perform pre- and post-inspection on moulds, reinforcing arrangements and cast-in items, ensuring drawings are followed. You will update production checklists and quality records, liaise with client/consultant on quality matters and report to engineers.

The role requires willingness to work in shifts, including weekends/public holidays, with initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering required or extensive precast concrete experience in lieu of formal education.
• Willingness to work in shifts including weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to interpret structural drawings accurately.
• Good eyesight and physical fitness.
• Proactive and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Good command of English and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre- and post-inspection, including mould checks after mould change and condition assessments prior to use.
• Ensure all panels have proper IDs and stickers after demoulding.
• Update in the system production checklists and quality records.
• Liaise with client/consultant representatives on quality inspection matters.
• Provide feedback to engineers/managers on quality issues and follow up corrective actions.
• Handle client/customer complaints and site investigations; ensure rectification follows SOPs.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

To carry-out pre and post inspection, which include inspection on mould after mould change and mould condition prior to use, reinforcement arrangement, accessories and cast-in item, dimensional and appearance condition based on issued drawing.

To ensure that all panel assigned with appropriate ID and sticker after demoulding.

To update in the system all the production checklist and quality record.

To liaise with client / consultant representative on quality inspection matter.

To feedback to engineer/manager on quality issue at shopfloor and to follow up corrective action implementation.

Attend to client / customer complaint and site investigation and feedback to engineer/manager.

To ensure that all panel under rectification works, follows approved method statement and / or Standard Operating Procedure.

Any other job function assigned, and new responsibilities as may be added as and when necessary, from time to time.

Requirements

Diploma in Civil Engineering.

Candidates without academic qualification but experienced in precast concrete will also be considered.

Willing to work in shift and when required (eg. weekend, public holiday).

Able to interpret structural drawing correctly.

Good eye vision and fit physically.

Initiative and able to work with minimal supervision.

Possess basis English & computer skill.
