Job summary

Smarttrend Recruitment in Beranang, Selangor, Malaysia, is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead precast concrete casting operations. You will manage the daily schedule, train workers, and ensure safety and quality in a busy manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate holds a certificate or diploma in civil/structure/precast, can read engineering drawings, and demonstrates strong leadership with a commitment to workplace safety. Excellent BM and basic English are preferred.

Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma in civil, structure, precast or equivalent.
• Experience in precast concrete production or casting preferred.
• Able to read technical/engineering drawings.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Good understanding of workplace safety practices.
• Fluent Bahasa Malaysia with basic English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure production and casting follow schedule and daily targets.
• Train workers and ensure proper technique.
• Keep production area clean and tidy.
• Follow company safety rules.
• Assign workers to the right work areas.
• Check rebar and formwork before pouring concrete.
• Cast products per drawings and concrete-pouring steps.
• Demould concrete after set.
• Prepare daily or progress reports.
• Hold weekly toolbox talks on safety.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.
• Support safety and quality programs to aim for zero accidents.

Requirements

• Minimum certificate / diploma in a civil, structure, precast, or equivalent working experience
• Prior experience in precast concrete production, casting, or a related manufacturing/construction environment preferred
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Good understanding of workplace safety practices
• Able to read technical/engineering drawings
• Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and basic English

Key Responsibilities

• Make sure production and casting work follows the schedule and meets daily targets.
• Make sure workers know how to do their job properly. Provide training if needed.
• Keep the production area clean and tidy at all times.
• Follow all company safety rules.
• Assign workers to the right work areas.
• Before pouring concrete, check the rebar (steel bars) and formwork (moulds) together with the team to make sure everything is correct.
• Cast products according to the drawing/plan given, and follow correct concrete-pouring steps.
• Remove the side panels and forms from the mould after the concrete has set (this is called "demoulding").
• Prepare and hand in daily or progress reports when needed.
• Hold a short safety briefing (toolbox talk) with the team once a week.
• Do other tasks assigned by the company from time to time. New duties may be added when needed.
• Support the company's safety and quality programs. Help create a safe workplace and aim for zero accidents.
