Responsibilities

• Inspect furniture products at various production stages to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.
• Conduct visual and functional inspections for defects, structural integrity, finish quality, and dimensional accuracy.
• Perform measurements and tests using QA tools to verify product specs.
• Document inspection results and maintain traceable QC records.
• Identify non-conforming products and coordinate with production to implement corrective actions.
• Report quality trends and recommend process improvements.
• Collaborate with production and management to maintain quality throughout manufacturing.

TOPGARD RESOURCES SDN BHD is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented QC Inspector (Furniture)

This is a full-time position based in our facility in Muar, Johor. As a QC Inspector, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of quality across our furniture manufacturing operations. Your work will directly impact product excellence, customer satisfaction and the company's reputation in the competitive furniture industry. This role requires a meticulous eye for detail, strong technical knowledge and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect furniture products at various stages of production to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications and customer requirements
• Conduct visual and functional inspections, including checks for defects, structural integrity, finish quality and dimensional accuracy
• Perform measurements and testing using appropriate quality assurance tools and equipment to verify product specifications
• Document inspection results and maintain detailed quality control records for traceability and analysis
• Identify non-conforming products and work with production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions
• Report quality trends and recommend improvements to manufacturing processes
• Liaise with production and management teams to ensure quality standards are consistently met throughout the manufacturing cycle
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment in accordance with company policies and industry regulations
• Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and best practices

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Quality Control Inspector, preferably in furniture manufacturing or related industries
• Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles, inspection techniques and quality control standards relevant to furniture production
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and quality documentation
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and inconsistencies
• Sound understanding of manufacturing processes and production workflows
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to quality improvement
• Relevant qualifications in quality assurance, inspection or a related field are advantageous
• Experience with quality management systems and documentation is preferred
