Job summary

PAN NORTH PLASTIC INDUSTRIES SDN BHD is seeking a full-time Quality Control Inspector in Bukit Mertajam, Penang. The role focuses on ensuring materials, in-process items, and finished products meet strict quality standards through visual, dimensional and functional testing.

You will document defects, maintain records, and collaborate with production to resolve issues while providing feedback to improve quality and efficiency across departments.

Qualifications

• 1 year of quality control/inspection experience in manufacturing
• Strong attention to detail with defect documentation
• Proficient with calipers, micrometers and testing devices
• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication to cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of QC principles and industry standards

Responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials, WIP, and finished products for quality

This full-time position is based in Bukit Mertajam Penang, and will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Inspecting raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products to ensure they meet established quality standards
• Conducting visual, dimensional, and functional tests on samples and products
• Identifying and documenting any defects or non-conformances, and working with the production team to resolve issues
• Maintaining detailed records and reports on the quality control process
• Providing feedback and recommendations to the management team to improve quality and efficiency
• Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless integration of quality control processes

About you

• Minimum 1 years of experience in a similar quality control or inspection role within the manufacturing, transport, or logistics industry
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and document defects accurately
• Proficient in the use of quality control tools and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and testing devices
• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills to address quality-related issues
• Excellent communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of quality control principles, techniques, and industry standards
