Job summary

Carton Industries (Johore) Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated QC Inspector to join the Quality Assurance & Control team in Johor Bahru. You will inspect, test, and evaluate raw materials, WIP, and finished products to ensure adherence to quality specifications and customer requirements.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, collaboration with production, and participation in continuous improvement initiatives to uphold our reputation in manufacturing and logistics.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a QC Inspector or similar role in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of QA principles and inspection methods.
• Experience with calipers, micrometers, gauges and automated inspection systems.
• Familiar with ISO 9001 or similar quality certifications is advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem solving.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication with cross-functional teams.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented QC Inspector to join the Quality Assurance & Control team at Carton Industries (Johore) Sdn Bhd. This is a full-time position based in Johor Bahru, Johor. As a QC Inspector, you will play a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of product quality across our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and evaluating products at various stages of production to ensure they meet our rigorous quality specifications and customer requirements. This position is essential to our commitment to delivering excellence and protecting our reputation in the manufacturing and logistics industry.

Key responsibilities

Conduct systematic inspections of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications

Perform comprehensive testing and measurements using calibrated equipment and quality control tools to assess product integrity and functionality

Document inspection results, test data, and findings in quality management systems and maintain accurate records for traceability

Identify defects, non-conformities, and deviations from established standards and report findings to production and quality management teams

Collaborate with production staff to investigate root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions

Ensure all products meet customer specifications, industry regulations, and company quality policies before shipment

Perform routine calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment and testing instruments

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and quality audits to enhance processes and reduce defects

Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve quality concerns and prevent recurrence of issues

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a QC Inspector or similar quality control role within manufacturing or production environments

Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles, inspection methodologies, and quality control standards relevant to the manufacturing sector

Proficiency in using quality control equipment, measuring tools, and testing instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and automated inspection systems

Familiarity with quality management systems and documentation practices, including record-keeping and traceability requirements

Attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and deviations from specifications with precision and consistency

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to investigate quality issues and contribute to corrective action implementation

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with production teams and management

Familiarity with relevant quality standards such as ISO 9001 or similar certifications is advantageous

Basic computer literacy and the ability to learn quality management software systems
