Metier Food is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to perform inspections and sensory evaluations of incoming materials, packaging, in-process products and finished goods. The role ensures GMP, HACCP and overall food safety compliance across production lines.
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in food science and technology with 2–3 years of QC experience in a food manufacturing setting, and is fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Conduct inspections and sensory evaluations for incoming materials, packaging, in-process products and finished goods.
Perform IPQC inspections and testing according to the Quality Plan and product specifications.
Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, hygiene, allergen control, food safety and quality requirements.
Manage the release, rejection, holding and disposition of materials and finished products according to QC requirements.
Identify, report and investigate quality deviations, non-conformities and customer complaints, including follow-up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Collect samples, coordinate laboratory testing and accurately record inspection results within the required timeline.
Maintain quality documents, batch records, retained samples and traceability records to support investigations and product recalls.
Ensure all inspection and laboratory equipment is properly maintained, calibrated and fit for use.
Conduct regular production-area inspections and monitor environmental hygiene and pest-control compliance.
Assist with supplier quality evaluations, internal and external audits, and regulatory inspections.
Work closely with Production and other departments to resolve quality issues and improve manufacturing processes.
Perform other duties assigned to support the Food Safety and Quality Management System.
Minimum bachelor’s degree in food science and technology or a related field.
At least 2-3 years of relevant quality control experience in a food manufacturing environment.
Familiar with GMP, HACCP, food safety standards and quality management systems.
Positive, self-motivated and disciplined, with a strong sense of responsibility.
Able to work independently, manage priorities and perform well under pressure.
Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
