Job summary

Top-Mech Provincial Sdn Bhd is seeking a Quality Control Engineer to develop and implement QC plans for crane components, raw materials and assemblies. You will monitor welding, machining, and fabrication processes and enforce ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 standards.

The role requires a mechanical engineering degree and 2–5 years of QC experience in heavy manufacturing, with CAPA experience and workplace safety knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in quality control within manufacturing/heavy industry.
• Experience with safety regulations and OSHA standards.
• Familiarity with OSHA standards and safety management systems.
• Experience in crane, steel structure or heavy equipment manufacturing is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication, welding and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control plans and inspection procedures
• Perform inspections on raw materials, fabricated parts, and assembled crane components
• Monitor welding, machining, and fabrication processes for specification compliance
• Conduct dimensional checks, visual inspections, and functional testing
• Oversee load testing to ensure cranes meet safety and performance requirements
• Review drawings, specifications, and method statements
• Identify non-conformities and implement CAPA
• Prepare quality reports, inspection records, and test documentation
• Coordinate with production, engineering, and safety teams to resolve quality issues
• Participate in internal and external audits
• Ensure calibration of measuring/testing equipment
• Monitor PPE usage and safety policies
• Investigate incidents and prepare reports

Job description

Maintain safety documentation and compliance records
