Job summary

Ocean Vantage Engineering Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a detail-oriented QA/QC Engineer to support quality assurance and control across engineering, maintenance and project activities.

You will monitor compliance with specifications, procedures and company requirements, and work with stakeholders to address non-conformities. The role requires engineering knowledge, strong analytical and communication skills, and willingness to work at operational and project sites.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in QA/QC, engineering, construction, maintenance, or project environments will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of QA/QC principles.
• Knowledge of inspection procedures, ITPs, method statements, specifications, and quality documentation.
• Ability to identify quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Good understanding of relevant engineering standards and industry practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong coordination and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Willing to work at operational and project sites when required.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor QA/QC requirements for engineering, maintenance, and project activities.
• Review drawings, specifications, procedures, method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and other quality-related documents.
• Conduct inspections and verify that work activities comply with approved specifications, standards, and procedures.
• Monitor the quality of materials, equipment, workmanship, and completed works.
• Coordinate and witness inspections, testing, and quality verification activities as required.
• Identify, document, and follow up on non-conformities, defects, and quality issues.
• Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure corrective and preventive actions are properly implemented.
• Maintain accurate QA/QC records, inspection reports, test results, certificates, and quality documentation.
• Support internal, external, client, and regulatory audits.
• Monitor contractor quality performance and ensure compliance with project and Company quality requirements.
• Prepare quality reports and provide updates on QA/QC performance to Management.
• Support Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and work processes.
• Ensure all quality activities are carried out in accordance with HSSE and Company requirements.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by Management from time to time.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced QA/QC Engineer to support quality assurance and quality control activities across engineering, maintenance, and project works. The role will ensure that work activities, materials, equipment, and documentation comply with approved specifications, standards, procedures, and Company requirements.

The successful candidate will work closely with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Project, Contractors, and other stakeholders to monitor quality performance, identify non-conformities, and support continuous improvement.
