Job summary

Private Advertiser in Malaysia is seeking a Quality Control Engineer to join our manufacturing team to ensure product quality through inspection, testing, and continuous improvement at Lab & Shopfloor.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, and knowledge of OES and Oracle MRP. Willingness to work shifts and weekends is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a materials/engineering-related field.
• 3–5 years in a manufacturing environment; laboratory experience is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of OES, Oracle MRP, and welding processes is advantageous.
• Strong communication, time management and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work shifts and weekends when required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections for incoming, in-process, and finished materials and products.
• Support NPI activities and quality evaluation.
• Prepare and analyse product testing and raw material reports.
• Maintain ISO documentation and records.
• Perform laboratory testing including chemical and mechanical analysis.
• Manage calibration of measuring instruments and testing equipment.
• Assist in vendor approval for raw materials.
• Participate in non-conformance investigations and corrective actions.
• Support 5S, safety programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain quality standards.

We are looking for a Quality Control Engineer to join our expanding team to support quality control operations within our manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality through inspection, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives at Lab & Shopfloor.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections for incoming, in-process, and outgoing raw materials and finished products.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and quality evaluation.
• Prepare and analyse product testing and raw material reports.
• Maintain ISO-related quality documentation and records.
• Perform laboratory testing including chemical and mechanical analysis.
• Manage calibration of measuring instruments and testing equipment.
• Assist in vendor approval for raw materials.
• Participate in non-conformance investigation and corrective action processes.
• Support company initiatives such as 5S, safety programs, and continuous improvement activities.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are maintained.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; laboratory experience is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of OES (Optical Emission Spectrometer), Oracle MRP system, and basic welding (GMAW/SMAW) will be an added advantage.
• Good communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter, team player and willing to grow with the company.
• Able to work independently and handle ad-hoc operational tasks.
• Willing to work shifts and weekends when required.
