Job summary

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in quality assurance and quality control in construction.
• Proven experience supervising and coordinating quality control activities on construction sites.
• Knowledge of construction materials, testing procedures, safety regulations, and local building codes.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems is advantageous.
• Proficient in using quality control software, inspection tools, and documentation systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel within Selangor.
• Fluency in English and Malay preferred.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced QAQC Supervisor to join C N H CONSTRUCTION (M) SDN. BHD. in Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the quality standards of our construction projects. As QAQC Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing quality assurance and quality control processes, ensuring that all work meets regulatory requirements, industry standards, and client specifications. Your expertise will directly impact project success, client satisfaction, and the company's reputation in the competitive construction industry.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and testing of construction materials, workmanship, and finished products to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and quality standards
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive quality control documentation, including inspection reports, test certificates, and quality assurance records
• Identify defects, non-conformities, and deviations from specifications, and recommend corrective actions to resolve issues promptly
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and site teams to communicate quality requirements and ensure consistent implementation of quality procedures
• Conduct training and toolbox talks with site personnel on quality standards, proper workmanship techniques, and compliance with quality management systems
• Monitor and track the performance of sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure their work meets required quality standards
• Prepare quality reports, statistical data, and performance metrics for management review and decision-making
• Conduct witness testing and hold-point inspections at critical construction stages as specified in project quality plans
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors regarding quality matters and project compliance
• Maintain awareness of industry best practices and emerging quality standards within the construction sector

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in quality assurance and quality control within the construction industry
• Proven experience supervising and coordinating quality control activities on construction sites
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, testing procedures, safety regulations, and relevant Malaysian building codes and standards
• Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001 or similar certifications is advantageous)
• Proficiency in using quality control software, inspection tools, and documentation systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with diverse stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites within Selangor
• Fluency in English and Malay is preferred
