Job summary

Private Advertiser in Malaysia seeks a Quality Assurance and Control Manager to lead the QC team through inbound, in-process and final inspections, and to establish robust QC processes in a start-up manufacturing setting.

You will implement quality systems, coordinate internal and external audits, and drive continuous improvement across the organization while ensuring compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, industrial engineering, quality management or related field.
• 5-8 years of QC experience in oil and gas.
• 2-3 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
• Familiarity with quality management systems and documentation control.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to lead a team and work with cross-functional departments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Quality Control team across incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve QC procedures, work instructions, inspection standards, and quality documentation.

• Ensure products meet customer specs, semiconductor industry requirements, and applicable standards.

• Support ISO 9001 implementation and maintenance.
• Prepare quality reports and present updates during management reviews.
• Coach and develop QC Inspectors and Quality Engineers to boost competence.

Job description

1. Lead and manage the Quality Control team to ensure product quality throughout incoming, in-process, and final inspections.

2. Develop, implement, and continuously improve QC procedures, work instructions, inspection standards, and quality documentation.

3. Establish quality systems and inspection processes suitable for a start-up manufacturing environment.

4. Ensure products comply with customer specifications, semiconductor industry requirements, and applicable quality standards.

5. Coordinate internal quality audits and support customer, certification, and supplier audits.

6. Participate in external audits, including customer assessments and certification body audits.

7. Support the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems such as ISO 9001.

8. Prepare quality reports and present performance updates during management review meetings.

9. Coach, train, and develop QC Inspectors and Quality Engineers to enhance technical competency.

10. Promote a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Requirements:

Education:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline.

Experience:

a) Minimum5–8 years of Quality Control experience within the oil and gas sector.

b) Minimum2–3 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.

Familiarity with quality management systems and documentation control.
