Job summary

HHR SETIA SDN. BHD. in Malaysia seeks a Quality Assurance and Control Executive to lead a team of QC inspectors and document controllers, ensuring compliance with contract drawings and specifications.

You will support structural, M&E and architecture departments in method statements and materials submissions, and liaise with subcontractors on site quality issues to investigate and correct defects. The role requires proactive adherence to Quality, Safety, Health and Environment policies and

Qualifications

• Experience in QA/QC in construction or related fields.
• Ability to lead a team of inspectors and document controllers.
• Strong auditing skills for internal and subcontractor/supplier quality.
• Analytical mindset for root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of QC supervision/inspectors for QC inspections.
• Oversee document controllers to manage Management System documentation.
• Carry out internal and subcontractor/supplier quality audits.
• Identify and report product quality issues and perform root cause analysis with engineers.
• Oversee inspections and verifications to ensure contract compliance with specs and drawings.
• Assist structural, M&E and architecture departments to submit method statements and materials to consultants.
• Liaise with subcontractors on site quality issues and investigate complaints and defects.
• Ensure non-conformances are reworked and closed satisfactorily.
• Attend site progress meetings with client, consultants and subcontractors.
• Maintain filing and documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Adhere to Quality, Safety, Health and Environment requirements.

Job description

Manage a team of QC supervision / inspectors to carry out QC inspections.

Manage document controllers to control Management System documentations.

Carry out internal and subcontractor/ supplier quality audit.

Report product quality issues, and work with engineers to carry out root cause analysis to determine causes of defects.

To oversee the inspections and verification roles and quality related issues to ensure contract works comply with contract specifications and drawings.

To assist structural, M&E and architecture departments to submit to the related consultants the work method statement and materials.

Liaise with sub contractors on site quality issues and carry out investigations to identify causes of complaints and seek for solution and correction of defective works.

Verify that non conformance are reworked and acceptable for closure.

To ensure materials and workmanship compliance with specifications.

To attend site progress meetings with client, consultant and sub-contractors.

To ensure all filling and documentations are in compliance.

To comply and adhere to all matters pertaining to Quality, Safety & Health and Environment related to the job scope and work place as required by the company.

Any other duties that will be assigned from time to time by management or immediate superior in accordance with company policies.
