Job summary

Zhongshi Chemical Engineering Construction (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced QAQC Engineer (Civil & Structural) to join our project team in Kedah. The successful candidate will monitor and control quality of civil and structural works, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, ISO requirements, and client standards.

Key duties include conducting site inspections, reviewing method statements and ITPs, coordinating inspections and testing, issuing NCRs, and preparing QA/QC

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in QA/QC, preferably in construction or Civil & Structural projects.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures for Civil & Structural works.
• Good understanding of construction standards, codes and project specifications.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and relevant industry codes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, shop drawings and specifications.
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all construction activities comply with project quality standards, ISO requirements and client specifications.
• Monitor site workmanship and material quality to ensure the required standards are consistently maintained.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors and subcontractors on quality-related matters and coordinate the resolution of site quality issues.
• Review technical drawings, shop drawings and specifications to ensure construction works are carried out accordingly.
• Maintain proper QA/QC records and documentation throughout the project.
• Support project handover activities by preparing QA/QC dossiers, inspection records and as-built documentation.
• Assist in monitoring the implementation and effectiveness of the project's Quality Management System (QMS).
• Perform any other quality-related duties assigned by the superior.
