Job summary

Pertama Makmur Sdn Bhd is seeking a Quality Assurance and Control Engineer to oversee ISO-based quality management for civil infrastructure projects in Malaysia. You will plan, direct, and implement QA/QC activities to meet ISO 9001 standards and client contract requirements.

You will review audit results, coordinate management reviews, and ensure teams are trained and competent. Strong documentation and communication with consultants and site teams are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 3–5 years QA/QC experience in infrastructure or civil projects.
• Good knowledge of ISO 9001 and relevant construction standards.
• Familiar with inspection procedures, ITPs, method statements, and material testing requirements.
• Strong documentation, reporting and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate quality management system performance for top management.
• Act as Management Representative for ISO.
• Plan, direct, manage and implement project QA/QC activities per ISO, QC and contract requirements.
• Review internal audits and client project audits; ensure corrective actions and closeout.
• Liaise with project personnel on all quality matters and coordinate management reviews.
• Ensure personnel are trained and competent to perform tasks; perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Coordinate about performance of quality management system to top management.

Act as Management Representative for ISO.

To plan, direct, manage and implement project quality assurance and control activities in compliance with ISO, Quality Control and regulatory and client contract requirements.

Review the results of internal audits and/or client project construction quality audits and ensure the development of satisfactory corrective actions and closeout of audit findings.

Liaise with projectpersonnel or representatives on all project quality matters.

Coordinate Management Review Meeting and report any adverse trends and/or issues related to project quality to operations and corporate quality management.

Ensure personnel have received appropriate training and are assessed as competent to perform tasks.

Perform other duties and assignments that may be assigned from time to time.

Any other duties as assigned by the superior.

REQUIREMENTS

Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Minimum 3-5 years of QA/QC experience in infrastructure, or civil construction projects.

Good knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001) and relevant construction standards.

Familiar with inspection procedures, ITPs, method statements, and material testing requirements.

Strong documentation, reporting, and analytical skills.

Good communication and coordination skills with consultants, clients, and site teams.

Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of QA/QC software or digital systems is an advantage.
