Job summary

Stratus Automation Sdn Bhd, a leading provider of AMHS and ASRS solutions, is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to perform daily inspections, collect data, and ensure conforming materials are identified and documented. The role requires a Diploma in Mechanical/Materials/Mechatronics engineering and 1–3 years' QC experience in manufacturing.

Candidates should have GD&T knowledge, good communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team.

Qualifications

• Diploma holders in Mechanical, Materials or Mechatronics engineering.
• 1–3 years of QC inspection experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in data collection and analysis.
• Proficient in GD&T and reading mechanical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and defect confirmation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspection activities in accordance with established quality standards and procedures.
• Collect and accurately key in inspection data into the IQA Inspection Report.
• Ensure all non-conforming materials are properly identified, segregated, and documented for disposition or return to suppliers.
• Perform dimensional and visual inspections of mechanical components.
• Support data collection and analysis to identify quality issues and trends.
• Apply fundamental problem-solving methodologies to investigate defects and support defect confirmation.
• Maintain proper inspection records and documentation.
• Undertake any additional duties and responsibilities assigned by the superior from time to time.

What You Will Do:

What You Will Bring (RequiredQualifications):

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field
• 1–3 years of experience in Quality Control (QC), part inspection, or a related manufacturing environment
• Experience in data collection and analysis
• Proficient in performing dimensional and visual mechanical inspections
• Good understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and mechanical drawings
• Understanding of fundamental problem-solving methodologies and defect confirmation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
