Job summary

SM Health Care Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a QA cum Production Assistant to support daily production activities while ensuring products meet quality standards. The role offers exposure to hands-on production tasks and basic QA under ISO-like guidelines.

No prior experience is required, and fresh school leavers are welcome. You will follow SOPs, GMP/GDP practices, and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance on the production floor.

Qualifications

• SPM/STPM or Diploma in any field (Science-related background is a plus but not required).
• No prior experience needed — fresh school leavers welcome; 6 months–1 year experience in manufacturing is an advantage.
• Willingness to learn GMP, QA, and production procedures.
• Basic literacy in reading/writing English and/or Bahasa Malaysia.
• Able to follow detailed instructions and maintain accuracy in documentation.
• Physically fit — able to stand for extended periods, light lifting, and repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day production line operations (mixing, filling, packing, assembly, or labeling depending on product line).
• Operate or assist in operating basic production machinery/equipment under supervision.
• Follow work instructions, SOPs, and batch/production records accurately.
• Ensure production area is set up correctly before operations begin (line clearance).
• Handle raw materials and components carefully to avoid contamination or damage.
• Support changeover activities between production runs (cleaning, resetting equipment).
• Report machine breakdowns, delays, or production issues to the Supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the production area (5S practices).
• Assist in basic in-process quality checks during production (visual inspection, weight/fill checks, basic measurements).
• Record production and quality data accurately on checklists/batch records.
• Help perform line clearance checks before and after production runs.
• Flag any non-conforming products, deviations, or abnormalities to the QA Officer.
• Support proper labeling and identification of WIP (work-in-progress) and finished goods.
• Assist with sample collection for testing when required.
• Follow GMP and GDP at all times; adhere to hygiene, gowning, and cleanroom protocols where applicable.
