Job summary

Celestica Inc. in Kulim, Malaysia, is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead SMT quality on the production lines. You will oversee line coverage, inspector supervision, and daily quality checks to ensure defect containment and timely corrective actions.

The role requires 3–4 years in SMT, a engineering degree, and strong RCCA/CAPA skills. You will partner with process engineers, production supervisors, and management to uphold ISO 9001/IATF standards and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3–4 years SMT manufacturing experience.
• Experience with quality systems and ISO standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide quality tasks for assigned lines, including shift planning and overtime for inspectors.
• Review defects, generate yield and defect reports, inform production, and drive containment and CAPA.
• Provide hands-on training and performance management for Quality Support staff.
• Authorize line stops for non-conformances and escalate critical issues to the Quality Manager.
• Review QIs and SOPs, feedback to Quality Engineers for continuous improvement.
• Lead audits: line, process compliance, and ESD controls.
• Apply RCCA/CAPA methodologies (5-Why, 8D, Ishikawa) to root cause problems.
• Ensure adherence to AQL sampling and ISO quality standards in inspections.
