Job summary

Coherent Corp. Malaysia is seeking a QA supervisor to maintain quality policies, lead a team of QA inspectors, and perform regular audits to ensure product quality. The role involves coordinating with production, arranging testing manpower, and keeping quality records.

Training, compliance with SOPs, and participation in Lean Manufacturing initiatives are key components of the position. The role is 100% onsite in Malaysia with 3 rotating 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business Admin / Economics / IE / Production Management and related disciplines.
  • Minimum 3 years working experience in a high-volume high mix production environment managing production with at least 3 years in supervisory position.
  • Experience working with Oracle/ ERP/ SAP/ MRP tools.
  • Experience working on lean manufacturing and quality improvement projects.
  • Computer software knowledge, especially Microsoft Office.
  • Special knowledge: ISO and QA knowledge/QC inspection.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain quality control policies and procedures to ensure products meet customer expectations and requirements.
  • Lead and guide a team of quality assurance inspectors and auditors in daily tasks.
  • Perform regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Identify training needs and conduct training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes comply with standard procedures.
  • Arrange manpower to plan and conduct testing and inspection of materials and products.
  • Keep and maintain quality records for future reference.
  • Liaise with production team on quality issues of products.
  • Ensure inspection and test methods are carried out to detect defective products.
  • Manage employee attrition and retention.
  • Participate in company initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing.

  • Ensure that all quality records are kept and well maintained for future reference purposes.
  • Liaise closely with production team on quality issue of products.
  • Ensuring that inspection and test methods are carried out and are effective in detecting defective products.
  • Managing employee attrition and retention.
  • Take part or to be trained on company's initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing.

Willing to run 3 rotating shift (12 hours shift)
