Job summary

Greatech Integration (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform multi-stage inspection on metal fabrication and welding components. You will ensure conformance to drawings and specifications, maintain records, and support QA activities within a modern manufacturing environment.

The role requires hands-on experience in quality inspection, knowledge of GD&T, and the ability to read drawings. You will collaborate with production and QA teams to resolve issues and uphold ISO standards.

Qualifications

• Welding and NDT related training required.
• Reading basic engineering drawings is necessary.
• Ability to use measuring equipment accurately.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience in metal works or fabrication quality inspection is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection based on requirements.
• Ensure inspection activities comply with specifications and drawings.
• Detect and segregate non-conforming parts.
• Maintain inspection records and reports accurately.
• Support internal calibration and verification activities.
• Monitor and maintain inspection tools and equipment condition.
• Communicate quality issues with production team for immediate action.
• Verify corrective actions on non-conforming issues.
• Perform basic data collection for quality analysis.
• Support QA Engineer in investigation and problem-solving activities.
• Assist in internal audits and documentation checks.
• Ensure compliance with ISO procedures and quality standards.
• Provide guidance to junior technicians during inspection.
• Support improvement initiatives on inspection efficiency.
• Prepare daily or weekly inspection reports when required.

Requirements

• Welding training, Non-Destructive Test Training, Welding Inspection Training, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance, QC tools, CMM or any high accuracy measuring equipment training.
• Preferably 2 to 4 years working experience in hands-on quality inspection of fabrication on Metal Works or manufacturing field.
• Experience in metal works / welding environment preferred. Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good understanding of inspection methods and requirements.
• Able to read basic engineering drawings
• Able to use measuring equipment accurately.
• Good communication and reporting skills
