Job summary

Lucky Wood Manufacturing seeks a quality documentation and records professional in Pasir Gudang, Johor, Malaysia to manage drawings, specifications, work instructions, inspection reports, and related quality documents ensuring up-to-date versions are used in production.

You will coordinate NCRs, ECR/ECN follow-ups, analyze data for defects, and support Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives, including root-cause analysis and customer-facing quality documentation for shipments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and control product drawings, artwork, specifications, and quality-related documents to ensure only the latest approved versions are used in production.
• Maintain quality documentation including work instructions, inspection records, testing reports, quality standards, and related procedures.
• Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for quality issues identified during production or inspection and follow up on corrective actions with relevant departments.
• Prepare and submit customer-required quality documents including shipment inspection reports, test reports, dimensional reports, and other supporting documentation.

1. Quality Documentation & Records Management

• Maintain and control product drawings, artwork, specifications, and other quality-related documents to ensure only the latest approved versions are used in production.
• Maintain quality documentation including work instructions, inspection records, testing reports, quality standards, and related procedures.
• Ensure proper document distribution, revision control, traceability, and withdrawal of obsolete documents.
• Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for quality issues identified during production or inspection and follow up on corrective actions with relevant departments.
• Maintain proper quality records in accordance with company procedures and customer requirements.

2. Quality Control & Process Improvement

• Implement and monitor quality control requirements throughout the manufacturing process to ensure products meet specifications and quality standards.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, R&D, and other departments to resolve quality and manufacturing issues.
• Monitor production quality performance and analyze quality data to identify trends, recurring defects, and improvement opportunities.
• Manage retained samples and ensure proper identification, traceability, storage, and accessibility.
• Lead or participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives and prepare relevant reports and presentations.
• Follow up on Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Engineering Change Notices (ECN) to ensure quality requirements, specifications, drawings, and related documents are properly updated.
• Support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions to improve product quality and process effectiveness.

3. Customer Quality & Product Support

• Prepare and submit customer-required quality documents including shipment inspection reports, test reports, dimensional reports, and other supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with customers on product testing requirements, specifications, and testing protocols.
• Perform or coordinate product testing in accordance with customer requirements and applicable standards.
• Investigate customer complaints, conduct root cause analysis, and coordinate corrective and preventive actions with relevant departments.
• Monitor and follow up on the effectiveness and closure of customer complaint corrective actions.
• Coordinate with internal teams on new product development, sample preparation, trial production, and sample evaluation.
• Identify and highlight quality concerns during sample development and production trials and recommend appropriate improvement actions.
