Job summary

BAYU PURNAMA SDN BHD is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to oversee rotating machinery maintenance and turbomachinery projects. The role emphasizes hands-on QA/QC for plant operations, including ITP development, dimensional checks, and documentation control.

The ideal candidate will bring a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years in related maintenance or QA/QC, with familiarity in API/ASME standards and OEM specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in plant maintenance, overhauls, or QA/QC for rotating equipment.
• Experience with OEM standards (GE, Siemens, Mitsubishi).
• Familiarity with API and ASME standards relevant to mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) for dismantling, repair, and reassembly.
• Perform dimensional and clearance checks for critical alignment, bearing clearances, and torque logs.
• Manage Material Approval Requests (MAR), Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), and final handover dossiers.
• Support pre-commissioning, functional testing, and startup verification.

QA/QC ENGINEER, ROTATING AND TURBOMACHINERY MAINTENANCE SERVICES

Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Experience: 5+ years in plant maintenance, overhauls, or QA/QC for rotating equipment.

Technical & Equipment Knowledge

Rotating Machinery: Hands-on oversight of centrifugal/screw compressors, multi-stage pumps, and auxiliary systems.

Turbines: Knowledge of gas and steam turbine overhauls, rotor/blade inspections, hot gas path checks, and alignment.

OEM Standards: Familiarity with manufacturer specifications (GE, Siemens, Mitsubishi) and tolerances.

Industry Codes: Mastery of API and ASME standards relevant to mechanical equipment and piping.

Quality Control & Site Execution

ITP Management: Developing and executing Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) for dismantling, repair, and reassembly.

Dimensional & Clearance Checks: Verifying critical alignment, bearing clearances, and torque logs.

Documentation Control: Managing Material Approval Requests (MAR), Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), and final handover dossiers.
