CRADOTEX (M) SDN BHD in Penang is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to safeguard quality across the FRP manufacturing process. You will develop inspection plans, monitor lamination and finishing steps, and drive CAPA activities to meet customer and spec requirements.
The ideal candidate holds a degree in engineering and at least 2 years of QA/QC experience in manufacturing, with familiarity in ISO 9001 and the ability to read drawings and inspections. Willing to work in a manufacturing environment.
We are looking for a QA/QC Engineer to join our manufacturing team and ensure the quality, reliability, and compliance of our FRP products. The successful candidate will be responsible for quality assurance and quality control throughout the manufacturing process, from incoming raw materials to finished products.
Key responsibilities
Develop, implement and maintain QA/QC procedures, inspection plans and quality standards for FRP products.
Conduct incoming, in-process and final inspections to ensure products meet specifications and customer requirements.
Monitor FRP manufacturing processes including lamination, resin/fiberglass application, curing and finishing.
Identify product defects, non-conformities and process issues, and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Prepare and maintain quality records, inspection reports, NCRs, test reports and other QA/QC documentation.
Investigate customer complaints and coordinate root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
Support internal, customer and external quality audits.
Work closely with Production, Engineering and other departments to improve product quality and reduce defects.
Monitor quality performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure measuring and testing equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
About you
Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, Polymer/Composite Engineering, Quality Engineering or related field.
Minimum 2 years of QA/QC or quality engineering experience in manufacturing.
Experience in FRP, fiberglass, composite, plastic, polymer or related manufacturing will be an advantage.
Good knowledge of quality control, inspection methods, root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 / Quality Management Systems.
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and inspection requirements.
Experience with quality tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone, 8D, SPC and CAPA is an advantage.
Good analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
Able to work independently as well as with cross-functional teams.
Willing to work in a manufacturing environment.
