Job summary

FD Precision Technology Sdn Bhd is seeking a QA Engineer to monitor product and process quality in plastic injection moulding and assembly. You will handle quality issues, support customer requirements and maintain the quality management system.

Responsibilities include performing 8D reports, root cause analyses and corrective actions, while supporting ISO 9001 and IATF16949. You will engage in PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA and PPAP activities and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level understanding of quality systems and processes.
• Proven ability to analyze data to drive improvements.
• Familiarity with manufacturing quality tools.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for a QA Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring product and process quality, handling quality issues, supporting customer requirements and maintaining our quality management system.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor product quality throughout plastic injection moulding and assembly processes.

Investigate internal quality issues, process defects and customer complaints.

Prepare and follow up on 8D reports, root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Monitor rejection, defect, yield and other quality performance indicators.

Support ISO 9001 and IATF16949 requirements, internal audits and external audits.

Support PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA and PPAP activities.

Participate in quality improvement and continuous improvement activities.

Prepare quality reports and analyse quality performance.

Conduct quality awareness and basic quality training for production personnel.

Job Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field.

Minimum 1–2 years of experience in QA/QC, preferably in manufacturing, automotive or plastic injection moulding.

Experience in plastic injection moulding and assembly is an added advantage.

Good knowledge of ISO 9001.

Knowledge of IATF 16949 is an added advantage.

Knowledge of 8D, PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA and PPAP is an advantage.

Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

Able to read and understand engineering drawings and product specifications.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Able to work independently and as part of a team.
