Job summary

MASS Precision is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure compliance to designs and quality standards for electronic chassis and sheet metal fabrications. You will perform multiple inspection stages, document data, and raise NCRs as needed.

The role requires careful attention to detail and strong communication across teams. With at least 2 years in a sheet metal QA role, you will work in a structured environment aligned with ISO quality practices, contributing to on-time delivery and process

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and GD&T.
• Proficient in use of mechanical inspection instruments; CMM experience preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in sheet metal fabrication or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Performs incoming, in-process and final inspection according to specifications and cosmetic criteria.
• Performs First Article Inspections and documents data per customer requirements.
• Create Non-Conformance Reports when defects are identified.
• Maintain a well-organized workspace and current task list with status.
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment by following procedures and rules.
• Take on any other responsibility assigned by the Department Manager.

Responsibilities

• Performs incoming, in process and final inspection according to given specification/drawing and cosmetic criteria.
• Performs First Article Inspections and documents resulting data in accordance with Customer requirements.
• Upon identification of defects, create Non-Conformance Report (NCR).
• Completes assignments in a timely manner.
• Maintains a well-organized workspace and current task list with status of each item.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Any other responsibility which may be assigned from time to time by Department Manager.

Requirements

• Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and basic understanding of GD&T principles.
• Proficient in use of all mechanical inspection instruments.
• Previous experience with CMM preferred.
• Detail oriented.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at the appropriate level across the organization.
• Proficient with MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to commit to a flexible schedule and prompt arrival to scheduled shifts.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in sheet metal fabrication industry or related field.
