Job summary

Mattel (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to perform testing according to approved methods and to maintain meticulous lab records. You will operate, calibrate, and maintain lab instruments while following QMS procedures and safety standards.

The role requires a Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or related field, with 1–2 years of laboratory experience preferred. Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills are essential in a fast-paced setting.

• Operate, maintain, and ensure proper usage of laboratory testing equipment and instruments.
• Accurately record, verify, and maintain test data and laboratory documentation.
• Enter, update, and maintain testing results and records in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Coordinate and prioritize daily testing schedules to ensure timely completion of assignments.
• Support laboratory housekeeping, safety practices, and equipment maintenance activities.

Job description

Perform testing activities according to approved test methods, procedures, and work instructions

Operate, maintain, and ensure proper usage of laboratory testing equipment and instruments.

Understand and apply relevant test methods while continuously maintaining technical competency and laboratory skills.

Accurately record, verify, and maintain test data and laboratory documentation.

Comply with and implement Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and laboratory standards.

Assist in identifying quality issues, risks, or non-conformities that may affect product quality or laboratory operations.

Initiate and support corrective and preventive actions to avoid violations of quality management system requirements.

Enter, update, and maintain testing results and records in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).

Support laboratory housekeeping, safety practices, and equipment maintenance activities.

Coordinate and prioritize daily testing schedules to ensure timely completion of assignments.

Requirements:

Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or any related field.

Preferably minimum 1–2 years of laboratory experiences.

Advanced knowledge in MS Office – Excel, Words, etc.

Knowledge of laboratory testing methods, quality systems, and basic inspection techniques
