KMWE Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to lead QA inspections, testing, and reporting for all outgoing products. You will verify dimensions with calipers, micrometers, and gauges, and ensure conformity before shipment.
Responsibilities include deploying final inspection procedures, analyzing quality data, addressing root causes, and guiding MRB processes to sustain high quality across semiconductor, medical, aerospace, and science sectors.
Lead the QA technicians in conducting inspections, testing, and reporting quality data of all outgoing products according to established standards, specifications, and procedures.
Use measurement tools and equipment to verify product dimensions, tolerances, and conformity before shipment.
Deploy final product quality inspection procedures and ensure compliance effectiveness prior to product release.
Follow up on quality issues, generate quality reports, collect product quality data, and perform data analysis to ensure outgoing product consistency.
Establish and implement quality system improvement initiatives and activities specifically for outgoing product control.
Establish standards and methods for final inspection and shipment release.
Handle customer complaints related to product quality by conducting root cause analyses, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring customer satisfaction through timely resolutions.
Address audit findings related to outgoing product inspections and quality controls to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.
Align measurement methods with customers where necessary to ensure mutual agreement on quality expectations.
Apply process capability, attribute system analysis (Gage R&R), control charts etc., when needed.
Lead statistical process control (SPC) initiatives and quality data analysis.
Review and verify supporting documents such as Material Certificates, Certificates of Conformance (CoC), and QA inspection reports before shipment release.
Apply statistical methods to assess outgoing product quality performance and identify areas for improvement. Contribute to continuous quality improvement by analyzing trends and providing data-driven feedback.
Supervise and train outgoing QA technicians on proper final inspection techniques, quality standards, and the use of inspection tools to ensure competence in their daily routines.
Review and improve QA technicians’ efficiency by establishing standard checking methods.
Proactively identify potential quality risks prior to product shipment and implement preventive measures to safeguard outgoing product quality.
Chair Material Review Board (MRB) meetings related to outgoing product issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives with team members.
Set up QA plans for new and revised products, focusing on final inspection requirements, documentation, quality plans, and the necessary equipment, jigs, and fixtures for outgoing inspections.
Work closely with production, engineering, and shipping teams to resolve quality issues and ensure that all finished products meet established quality standards and specifications before delivery to customers.
Collaborate with Supplier Quality Engineers on quality issues impacting outgoing products due to supplied parts or materials.
Work closely with the QA Lead to maintain accurate records of final inspection results, non-conformance reports, and shipment-related documentation.
Assist the QA Manager in QA resources planning for final inspection activities.
Oversee inventory control at QA’s Inspection (INS) and Material Review Board (MRB) locations for outgoing products.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives or projects related to outgoing quality assurance processes.
Perform other duties as assigned by the superior.
Requirements:
Degree in Engineering, Quality Management or equivalent; or 3 years of related experience and training in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency in using measuring instruments e.g. calipers, micrometers, gauges.
Good knowledge of quality control processes and inspection techniques.
Able to interpret GD&T and familiar with CMM operation.
Good understanding of ISO9001& ISO13485 Standards.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
