Job summary

Mattel (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in Penang Seberang Perai is seeking a Diploma holder in Mechanical Engineering to develop, update, and maintain manufacturing process flow charts for new and existing production processes.

You will ensure process documentation is accurate, standardized, and controlled, support continuous improvement, manage the mold tooling system, and coordinate with Production, Tooling, and Maintenance to keep molds ready and productive.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1–2 years experience in tooling, plastic injection molding, or manufacturing.
• Familiar with process documentation, process flow charts, audits, and continuous improvement.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD or Visio is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Able to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented and organized in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain process flow charts for production processes.

Job description

Ensure process documentation is accurate, standardized, and properly controlled.

Support continuous improvement initiatives by updating process documentation and workflows.

Maintain and update the mold management system with accurate tooling information and records.

Monitor mold status, preventive maintenance schedules, repair history, and tooling lifecycle.

Coordinate with Production, Tooling, and Maintenance teams to ensure mold readiness and availability.

Prepare tooling performance reports and support mold transfer activities.

Assist in Final Engineering Pilot (FEP) activities, including project documentation, planning, and progress tracking.

Conduct tooling and process audits to ensure compliance with company standards and quality requirements.

Identify improvement opportunities, recommend corrective actions, and support implementation.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Minimum 1–2 years of experience in tooling, plastic injection molding, or a manufacturing environment is an advantage.

Familiar with process documentation, process flow charts, audit activities, and continuous improvement practices.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Visio, or equivalent engineering software is an added advantage.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
