Job summary

PRIMECHEM MALAYSIA SDN BHD, part of the Riverbank Group, seeks a QA/QC Chemist to conduct comprehensive chemical analysis of raw materials, in-process samples and finished products, and prepare quality reports. You’ll develop and maintain SOPs, verify shipments, and lead QA/QC activities.

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline is required.
• Proven experience as a Chemist or QA/QC professional in chemical manufacturing or related industry.
• Strong knowledge of analytical chemistry, quality control principles, and testing methodologies.
• Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and analytical instruments.
• Familiarity with quality management systems and regulatory standards applicable to chemical manufacturing.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Knowledge of ISO standards is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive chemical analysis and testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using analytical techniques and lab equipment.
• Develop, validate, and maintain SOPs for quality control testing and sampling protocols.
• Inspect and test incoming raw materials to ensure quality; verify finished products before shipment.
• Prepare quality reports and investigate customer complaints to identify root causes.
• Collaborate with Production, Warehouse, and Sales teams; maintain QA/QC documents (SDS, TDS, COA, inspection records).
• Support ISO 9001 documentation and audit activities.
• Monitor lab equipment calibration and maintenance; lead and train QA/QC team members.

Job description

Conduct comprehensive chemical analysis and testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using various analytical techniques and laboratory equipment

Develop, validate, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for quality control testing and sampling protocols

Inspect and test incoming raw materials to ensure they meet quality requirements. Verify finished products before shipment to customers.

Conduct laboratory testing and prepare quality reports. Investigate customer complaints and identify root causes of quality issues.

Work closely with Production, Warehouse, and Sales teams to resolve quality related matters. Maintain QA/QC documents, including SDS, TDS, COA, and inspection records.

Support ISO 9001 documentation and audit activities.

Monitor laboratory equipment calibration and maintenance schedules. Lead and train QA/QC team members to achieve departmental objectives.

What we're looking for:

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline

Proven experience working as a Chemist or QA/QC professional in the chemical manufacturing or related industry
