AimBig Employment Pty Ltd is partnering with a global technology and advanced manufacturing provider to recruit an Automation Tester in Putrajaya. You will design, execute, and maintain manual and automated tests for web-based applications, collaborating with developers to identify risks and improvements early.

You’ll build automation frameworks with Playwright, perform API and SQL validation, support CI/CD, and assist migration of legacy systems to .NET in an Agile, hybrid environment with

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with manual and automated testing.
• Experience testing web-based applications and enterprise systems in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with Playwright or similar test automation frameworks.
• Experience with API testing tools like Postman and validating backend integrations.
• Good understanding of SQL and database testing principles.
• Exposure to Agile development methodologies and cross-functional teams.
• Basic programming or scripting in C# and JavaScript.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Job Description

• Design, execute, and maintain both manual and automated test cases to ensure high-quality software delivery
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders during the early stages of development to identify risks, edge cases, and improvement opportunities before coding begins
• Develop and enhance automated testing frameworks using modern tools such as Playwright to improve testing efficiency and coverage
• Perform API and database testing to validate system integrations, business logic, and data accuracy
• Investigate, track, and manage defects through to resolution while partnering closely with development teams for root cause analysis
• Conduct UI, cross-browser, and end‑to‑end testing to ensure a seamless user experience across applications
• Support CI/CD testing activities, monitor automated test results, and contribute to release readiness
• Assist with the migration of legacy systems into a modern .NET environment, ensuring functional consistency and quality throughout the transformation journey
• Work within Agile teams while collaborating with regional and global QA professionals to share best practices and drive continuous improvement

The Successful Applicant

A successful Automation Tester should have:

• Over 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with exposure to both manual and automated testing
• Hands‑on experience testing web-based applications and enterprise systems in a fast‑paced environment
• Familiarity with test automation tools such as Playwright or similar frameworks
• Working knowledge of API testing tools like Postman and experience validating backend integrations
• Good understanding of SQL and database testing principles
• Exposure to Agile development methodologies and cross‑functional project teams
• Basic programming or scripting experience in C# and JavaScript
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
