Job summary

Chi Cheng Technology (M) Sdn Bhd, based in Penang, Malaysia, seeks a Quality Assurance Engineer to reinforce our QA team. You will assist in quality control across incoming, in-process, and outgoing activities, conduct product and process evaluations, and prepare detailed inspection reports for audits.

The role emphasizes SPC/CPK data monitoring, root-cause analysis, and close collaboration with Engineering to implement improvements and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and quality records.

Responsibilities

• Assist incoming/outgoing/in process quality control per QA organization chart requirements.
• Conduct product and process evaluations and technical reporting per QA organization chart requirements.
• Monitor and ensure the process parameter was follow by SPC and CPK data monitoring which is necessary.
• Perform first article inspections (FAI) and generate reports.
• Conduct root cause analysis and corrective action for any non-conformities identified during the inspection process.
• Analyze production processes and workflows to identify opportunities for quality improvement and increased efficiency.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to implement process improvements and ensure their effectiveness.
• Maintain and update quality documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality records.
• Ensure that all products and processes comply with relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) and customer requirements.
• Prepare and maintain detailed quality reports, inspection records, and documentation for internal and external audits.
• Assist in the preparation and execution of internal and external audits.
