Job summary

LIAN HUA SENG RETAIL SDN BHD in Kuching is seeking an experienced purchaser to plan, select and buy merchandise for multiple retail outlets. You will coordinate with suppliers to secure best prices, favorable terms and on-time delivery while maintaining stock levels.

The role requires a diploma and 2–3 years in retail purchasing, with strong communication and negotiation skills. Proficiency in English, Mandarin and Malay is preferred to liaise with diverse suppliers and clients.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in any discipline.
• 2-3 years of working experience in retail purchasing, preferably with fresh, frozen & chilled products.
• Resourceful with good communication and strong negotiation skills.
• Languages: English, Mandarin and Malay; Mandarin proficiency preferred."
• Able to multi-task, analytical, meticulous and organized.
• Self-motivated and able to work under minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, selecting and purchasing of merchandise goods for retail outlets.
• Follow-up on purchasing related documents such as Purchase Order, Purchase Return, Supplier Invoice & more.
• Ensure communication with suppliers for best price, credit terms and delivery lead time.
• Work closely with Outlet manager/supervisor to ensure sufficient stock level.
• Stock management, periodic stock counts, reconciliation and report preparation.
• Maintain up-to-date department documents and proper filing system.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by Management from time to time.

Follow-up on purchasing related documents such as Purchase Order, Purchase Return, Supplier Invoice & etc

Ensure adequate communication with suppliers for best price, credit terms and delivery lead time.

Work closely with Outlet manager / supervisor to ensure sufficient stock level.

Ensure stocks in the outlet are well-managed. Perform periodical stock count, reconciliation and report preparation.

Ensure all documents in the department are up-to-date and maintain proper filing system.

Perform any other related duties as assigned by Management from time to time

Requirements

At least a Diploma or equivalent in any discipline

2- 3 years of working experience in retail purchasing preferably in handling fresh, frozen & chilled products.

Resourceful, good communication and strong negotiation skills

Required language : English, Mandarin and Malay. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Able to multi-task, highly analytical, meticulous and organized.

Self-motivated and able to work under minimum supervision
