Job summary

WIJAYA DAYA SDN BHD is seeking a seasoned Purchasing Manager for construction materials and services. You will lead supplier negotiations, manage procurement timelines, and ensure timely delivery to sites.

Source, evaluate and select suppliers of construction materials and services.

Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers to ensure the best possible deals for construction materials and services.

Analyse lead times and priorities demand effectively

Raise Purchase Orders once the case is finalized.

Ensure Purchase Orders are approved in line with business rules

Email the Purchase Order to the supplier (where the system does not support automatic emailing of the Purchase Order)

Collaborate with project Managers, Site Manager/Agent, Engineer for procurement needs and timeline.

Coordinate with logistics and site teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to construction sites.

Receipt Purchase Order based on an approved goods receipt note/delivery docket.

Request credit notes from suppliers and send to Accounts Payable for processing.

Establish sound relationships with suppliers, ensure lead times are met and expedite outstanding orders.

Requirements:

Bachelor degree in related field with proven track record.

Minimum 8-10 years experience in a Purchasing Manager with Construction company experience.

Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with internal teams and suppliers.
