Job summary

CB Palm Industrial Sdn Bhd invites applications for a Purchasing/Procurement role to manage supplier negotiations and the end-to-end purchasing process for palm oil mill operations in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of working experience in palm oil mill industry or manufacturing/related field.

Responsibilities

• Meet/liaise with suppliers for complaints, price negotiation and market information.
• Process and issue purchase orders according to purchasing procedures.
• Submit PO for approval before sending to supplier.
• Request quotations, evaluate offers and prepare price comparisons.
• Determine order quantities and purchasing schedule to ensure continuous supply and avoid excess stock.
• Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new suppliers.
• Negotiate to achieve best total acquisition cost while maintaining quality and regulatory standards.
• Develop the supply base to improve quality, service, and reliability.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods and services within agreed time frames.
• Explore alternate sources for goods and materials.
• Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoice issues.
• Conduct supplier performance evaluations and maintain Approved Supplier List.
• Establish and maintain procurement department ISO documentation.
• Proactive, flexible and self-motivated.
• Other duties as assigned by superior.

1. Meeting/interview suppliers as and when necessary for complaint/price negotiation /market information updated and liaise with supplier on the nonconforming goods supplied.
2. Process and issue purchase orders in accordance to purchasing procedures.
3. Submit PO for approval by relevant authority before fax & email to supplier.
4. To responsible in requesting for quotations, evaluating offers and prepare price comparison.
5. To determine order quantities and purchasing schedule and deliveries to ensure continuity supply and at the same time avoid holding excessive stock.
6. To develop and maintain relationship with existing and new suppliers for continual healthy growth.
7. Responsible for negotiations, ensuring the best total acquisition cost from current or new suppliers where further cost or service improvements can be achieved, whilst maintaining quality and regulatory standards.
8. Ensure the category supply base is developed to improve quality, service, technical competence and reliability.
9. Delivering supplier value and performance optimization, whilst meeting all quality and regulatory requirements.
10. Ensures that the delivery of goods and services are within the agreed time frame.
11. Explore alternate sources for good and materials.
12. Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoices issues.
13. Conduct annual supplier performance evaluation and update of Approved Supplier List.
14. To establish and maintain procurement department ISO documentation.
15. Proactive, flexible and self-motivated.
16. Any other jobs assigned by superior when necessary.

Qualification & Working Experience Requirements:

1. Degree or diploma in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Commerce or equivalent with minimum of 3 years working experience in palm oil mill industry or
2. Minimum 3 years of working experience in manufacturing company industry or any related field.
