Private Advertiser in Malaysia seeks an experienced Procurement Coordinator to oversee purchasing operations, process purchase orders, and manage supplier relationships. You will coordinate deliveries, negotiate terms, and ensure alignment with project requirements and inventory controls.

The role requires a degree in a related field, strong negotiation and communication skills, and ERP proficiency. Experience in furniture and fittings is an advantage. Multitasking under pressure is essential.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Manage and monitor deliveries (local and overseas) to ensure timely arrival at site/store.
• Source, select and negotiate for best purchase terms with sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Liaise with planner and warehouse to ensure purchases meet project requirements and do not exceed inventory levels.
• Handle and monitor claims for defects, shortages, missing parts as per policy.
• Coordinate with Accounts Payable to ensure accurate payments after invoice verification.
• Source for new parts, suppliers or sub-contractors to support new projects.
• Support relevant departments with quotations for tenders.
• Maintain procurement files, purchasing data and pricing in the system.
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies.

This role involves overseeing purchasing department operations, managing the preparation and processing of purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures, and delegating tasks across the procurement function.

Key responsibilities

Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures

Manage and monitor deliveries (local and overseas) of items to ensure all items are delivered to site/store in time

Source, select and negotiate for the best purchase in terms of quality, price, term, deliveries and services with sub-contractors and suppliers

Liaise with planner and warehouse to ensure purchase meets project requirement and does not exceed inventory level set by the company

Handle and monitor claims for defectives, shortage, missing parts in accordance with company policy

Liaise with Account Payable Department to ensure accurate payment by checking of invoices and items delivered

Source for new parts, suppliers or sub-contractors to support growth for new projects

Support relevant department with quotations for the purpose of tenders

Maintain procurement files, purchasing data and pricing in the system

Develop and implement purchasing strategies

About you

At least Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related fields

Possess strong negotiation and communication skills

Competent and accurate in handling procurement

Experience in furniture and fittings industry is an added advantage

Have great sense of urgency and able to handle multi tasks under pressure

Have knowledge in ERP system
