Job summary

MB Automation (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a proactive Procurement Specialist to manage direct and indirect sourcing, negotiate terms, and build strong supplier relationships. You will handle end-to-end procurement processes, coordinate with internal teams, and ensure on-time delivery of components and services.

The role requires a diploma or bachelor’s in Business/Management or related field, with experience in procurement and knowledge of electrical/electronic components considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies, Administration, Management, Supply Chain, or equivalent.
• Experience in direct and indirect sourcing with end-to-end procurement knowledge.
• Experience in sourcing electrical/electronic components or suppliers is a plus.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to build long-term supplier relationships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Conferring with suppliers to obtain prices, specs, and product details.
• Negotiating prices, contracts, and delivery terms for optimal outcomes.
• Sourcing and evaluating suppliers for direct and indirect materials/services.
• Maintaining purchasing records, supplier data, and pricing in SAP.
• Coordinating with user departments and suppliers for project-related purchasing.
• Supporting departments with quotations for tenders and proposals.
• Coordinating with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
• Issuing purchase orders per technical specs and requirements.
• Identifying and sourcing new parts, suppliers, or subcontractors.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in sourcing electrical/electronic components or suppliers is an added advantage.

• Strong negotiation skills and ability to build long-term supplier relationships.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
