Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a procurement professional to plan, source and manage supplier relationships. You will negotiate terms, issue POs, maintain supplier records and forecast material needs in collaboration with internal teams.

Experience in engineering/automation environments is an added advantage; ISO compliance and reading drawings will support supplier selection and cost savings initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in purchasing/procurement or related field.
• Diploma/degree in Engineering or Business Admin/Management or equivalent.
• Strong communication, negotiation and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Plan, select, and source suppliers/vendors for required goods, materials, and tools.
• Source new products and review existing items to ensure competitiveness.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery lead times with suppliers/vendors.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on price, quality, and delivery performance.
• Prepare, issue, and expedite POs and manage full PO administration.
• Maintain accurate supplier/vendor database and purchasing records.
• Forecast demand with internal departments to ensure material availability.
• Identify and develop new suppliers/vendors and cost-saving opportunities.
• Lead procurement-related projects and guide junior buyers when required.
• Assist in improving procurement processes and policies in line with company objectives.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and understand fabrication processes (added advantage).
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards, SOPs, safety regulations, and internal policies.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Job Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing/procurement or related field.

Diploma / Advanced Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree / Professional Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electromechanical) or Business Administration/Management or equivalent.

Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Experience in automation or engineering environment is an added advantage.
