Job summary

Pena Builders Sdn Bhd is seeking a Purchasing Executive (Building & Construction) in Penang. The role focuses on planning and purchasing construction materials, coordinating with site staff and suppliers to ensure timely delivery, and conducting supplier pricing during tender stages.

The candidate should have a qualification in Business Studies/Administration/Management (SPM/Certificate/Diploma/Bachelor) and be comfortable with price comparisons, negotiations, and independent work across levels.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have SPM/certificate/diploma or bachelor degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Good computer literacy is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and purchase materials according to site purchase orders.
• Coordinate with project site staff and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
• Source and obtain pricing/quotations from suppliers and perform price comparisons during tender stage.
• Review purchase requisitions and determine appropriate purchasing methods per policies.
• Conduct supplier sourcing, evaluation, and selection, negotiate and monitor performance.
• Ensure materials meet project specifications in source, quality and quantity.
• Prepare supplier payment certificates matched with purchase orders and delivery orders.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as required by superiors.

Purchasing Executive (Building & Construction)

Responsible for purchasing construction building materials

To plan, organize, purchase materials according to requirements of site purchase orders.

To coordinate, monitor and follow up closely with project site staff and supplier on time delivery.

To source, obtain pricing/quotation from supplier and able to do pricing comparison during tender stage.

To review purchase requisitions and determine proper purchasing methods in compliance with the purchasing policies and procedures.

To perform supplier sourcing, evaluation, assessment and selection, negotiation, performance monitoring.

To ensure all the materials in right source, quality, quantity, comply with project specs.

To prepare supplier payment cert with matched purchase order and delivery order.

To perform all other ad-hoc duties assigned by superiors whenever necessary from time to time.

Requirement:

Candidate must possess at least SPM, Certificate, Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent qualification.

No Experience and Fresh Graduate are welcome to apply.

Good in computer literate.
