Job summary

Elite Material (Penang) Sdn Bhd (EMC) seeks a Purchasing professional to source and buy indirect materials, consumables, equipment, tools and services for manufacturing operations in Penang.

You will review quotations, build strong supplier relationships, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure specs and approvals are met. Invoicing accuracy and cost-reduction initiatives are part of the role. Fluency in Mandarin/English is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
• Minimum 2 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiar with ERP/MRP systems and procurement processes.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently under minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in Mandarin and English is an added advantage to liaise with suppliers.
